The Borbonius (Blotchy) Anthias (Odontanthias borbonius) is a deepwater collector fish prized for its striking mottled pattern of pale pink, orange, and yellow. Exceptionally rare and visually captivating, this anthias brings unique color and motion to high-end reef aquariums.

Highlights:

  • HABITAT & BEHAVIOR: Native to deep reef zones, ideally housed in a cooler tank (72–78 °F) with shaded caves and overhangs to mimic natural refuge.

  • FEEDING: High-metabolism planktivore—requires hardy feedings of enriched mysis, brine shrimp, and meaty preparations. Refugium-grown copepods help maintain vibrant coloration.
