Frankenberry Montipora

This encrusting Montipora sp. (often called a “monti” by reef hobbyists) is a hardy SPS coral known for its vivid coloration and tight, spreading growth pattern. As it matures, it forms a dense layer over rockwork, adding rich color and natural texture to reef structures.

Montiporas are well-suited for mixed and SPS-dominant aquariums and perform best under stable reef conditions.

Care: Moderate to high light, moderate flow, and stable alkalinity and calcium.
Growth: Moderate to fast under consistent parameters.
Placement: Mid to upper rockwork where it can spread naturally.
