Grafted Montipora

Montipora capricornis, commonly known as a “monti cap,” is a hardy SPS coral recognized for its distinctive plating growth and layered, whorled structure. As it matures, it forms overlapping shelves that create dramatic depth and visual contrast in reef aquariums.

Monti caps are well-suited for mixed and SPS-dominant systems and develop stronger coloration under stable reef conditions.

Care: Moderate to high light, moderate flow, and stable alkalinity and calcium.
Growth: Moderate to fast.
Placement: Mid to upper rockwork with room to expand outward.
