Montipora undata, often called a “monti” is a hardy SPS coral known for its thick, encrusting growth and subtle surface texture. As it matures, it forms layered ridges and undulating contours that add depth and natural structure to reef rockwork.

Undata varieties perform well in stable mixed and SPS-dominant systems and develop stronger coloration under consistent reef parameters.

Care: Moderate to high light, moderate flow, and stable alkalinity and calcium.
Growth: Moderate under steady conditions.
Placement: Mid to upper rockwork with room to spread.
