Care Essentials:

• Tank Size: Minimum 50 gallons to allow room for the wrasse to swim and dive into rockwork.

• Temperament: Peaceful and reef friendly. Best kept with nonaggressive species.

• Diet: Carnivore. Feed a varied diet of mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, enriched frozen foods, and quality marine pellets.

• Reef Compatibility: Generally safe with corals and invertebrates when well fed and housed in a mature system.

• Water Conditions: Maintain stable reef parameters — temperature 76–82 °F, salinity 1.024–1.026, pH 8.1–8.4.

• Behavior: This wrasse will explore crevices and open water; provide live rock with hiding spots and escape routes.
