Montipora confusa, often referred to as a “monti” is a hardy SPS coral known for its thick encrusting base with irregular, upward-growing ridges and branching formations. As it matures, it develops layered texture and structural depth that adds dimension to reef aquariums.

Confusa varieties thrive in stable mixed and SPS-dominant systems and reward consistent parameters with steady growth and strong coloration.

Care: Moderate to high light, moderate flow, and stable alkalinity and calcium.
Growth: Moderate under consistent conditions.
Placement: Mid to upper rockwork with room to expand outward and upward.
