Spongodes Montipora - Green-Yellow

Montipora spongodes, often called a “monti spongodes,” is a hardy SPS coral known for its thick, encrusting base with irregular branching growth. As it matures, it develops textured ridges and layered formations that add structure and dimension to reef aquariums.

Spongodes varieties are well-suited for mixed and SPS-dominant systems and perform best in stable reef conditions.

Care: Moderate to high light, moderate to strong flow, and stable alkalinity and calcium.
Growth: Moderate under consistent parameters.
Placement: Mid to upper rockwork with space to expand outward and upward.
